That’s right, it’s no longer a mystery what’s going on with Intel, and the company’s CEO just revealed that his team is working to make his computers smarter and easier to use. For instance, the Intel Smart Audio Controller is a driver that sits in the laptop’s headphone socket, and it automatically sends the PC’s audio to the sound system, helping to ensure that the PC is playing music to the speakers.

This is a big deal because there are some high-end PCs that don’t have this driver, and these PCs are not a good fit for a lot of different types of music, or even for a lot of music genres. For instance, I’ve got a PC with a built-in audio system that can’t even play music that I own, and I’m looking at a PC with this driver because the built-in audio system is the same as the one in my PC.

As you can tell, I just really like this little chip, and I could have told you that. It’s a real game-changer for PC gaming. But I’m not sure if I would be able to justify owning a PC without it.

The best part about the intel sound driver, is that it seems to be a very robust driver and supports all kinds of audio formats from MP3 to AU. If you’re not sure if you’d be able to benefit from it, try it and see how it works.

Intel’s driver includes support for MP3, WMA, FLAC, AU, OGG, WAV, WMA, WAV, AC3, and WMA. It also supports AAC, ASF, AIFF, and DTS. The driver is pretty flexible, but it is missing support for some formats that you might not have heard of, like WAV and AIFF.
