A good manager wants to know this kind of thing. Information systems are a new and exciting way of interacting with technology. They are the next big thing, and they are here to stay. But as we get more comfortable with them, we will find ourselves using them differently.

That’s one reason that people tend to dump their old files onto their PCs, because they don’t have the time or the inclination to extract their data from old spreadsheets. So a lot of companies are investing in some kind of digital information systems that can extract the information they need from their spreadsheets.

The problem is that they dont have the time and arent in the mood to run a couple of Excel macros. Thats why we see so many data warehouses being created. With data warehouses, companies can create a database of all the documents that exist in an organization. In this way they can use the documents to analyze business data and create reports.

But information systems are like the spreadsheet.They dont do that themselves, they are just made for use by people who are in a position to use them. A data warehouse is a great place to create a database of all the documents. If you are in a position to use data warehousing, you should really go through the data warehouse training and see if the training is relevant to your position.

I am the type of person who will organize my entire home (including closets) based on what I need for vacation. Making sure that all vital supplies are in one place, even if it means putting them into a carry-on and checking out early from work so as not to miss any flights!
