Do you need a second opinion?
Maybe even third?
What about the fourth or fifth opinion?
If you’re still on the fence about getting Lasik surgery, you may want to read this blog post. We’ll go over some of the benefits and risks of going through with this procedure, as well as answer any questions that might be lingering in your head.
Benefits: The best benefit is that you’re able to see, which is more than enough for most people. However, there are other benefits as well such as reduced dryness and improved quality of life.
Risks: while it’s a pretty safe procedure with minimal risks (which we’ll cover below), there can be complications depending on your health or eye condition prior to having surgery performed.
There was also one documented case where Lasik did not work for someone who had poor vision in both eyes before undergoing the procedure due to their corneal shape being too steeply curved.
This person required glasses after the surgery because they could no longer focus on anything close up without correction lenses.
